SNIPPETS….. Nicola Shannon (nee Metcalfe-Gibson) (L/G 78-85), along with her sisters Louisa Gill (L/G 78-86), Jemma and parents, recently came back to visit the area, including St Bees and the school.
Nicola writes: “What a special few days we had coming back to West Cumbria and going down memory lane!  It was wonderful and so many memories came flooding back for all of us.  We visited our old home and met up with school friends, and neighbours who were a big part of our lives. The weather was amazing. How lucky we were to grow up in such a special place. Cumbria was at its best. I can’t believe my mother, who was a Governor for a while, abseiled down the chapel!” Nicola’s mother Ann Metcalfe-Gibson, was a Governor at the school for around 20 years, retiring in 2008.
